About Us

Debra Mendes (MBCS, CEng, CITP) - Managing Director GPI

Debra is a process improvement specialist and has been a CMM/CMMI lead assessor/appraiser for over 13 years. She has worked closely with many organisations in the UK, USA, China and Europe to provide hands on consultancy, guidance, training and support in their journey to improve their processes and effectiveness and to eliminate bad practices which commonly result in late delivery, overspend, poor quality and lack of visibility.

Debra has directed or evaluated many large process improvement programmes notably for Abbey (now Santander), Reuters, the Department of Work and Pensions, JP Morgan Chase, Aerosystems International, Beazley, Prudential, Schlumberger, DHL and EDS.

She has considerable experience of staff management (appraisals, staff development, recruitment, coaching, facilitating, etc.), extensive project management (planning, tracking, resource scheduling, risk management, full development lifecycle analysis, etc.), and documentation (feasibility, specifications, etc.)

Larry Jones - Director GPI

Larry is an experienced process improvement and quality consultant (trained CMMI Lead Appraiser). He has an excellent understanding of full project life cycle having wide-ranging experience including change management, software development management, project management and as a process advisor.

With over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry and a further 9 years in various other sectors including the public sector Larry has strong process and project management skills and has worked at all levels.

Larry has most recently worked with Thomson Reuters, 20:20, BP, Cap Gemini, Dept of Work & Pensions

Chris Potts (PGDip TQM, PMP) - Consultant GPI

Chris has a Post Graduate Diploma in Total Quality Management, is a PMI accredited Project Manager Professional (PMP), has qualified and practiced as an assessor for the EFQM Business Excellence Model and is SEI trained and practiced in undertaking SEI CMMI appraisals.

He has 25 years experience of management in both public and private sector. Most recent experience has been gained in the IT Industry as project manager of application developments and regional lead assisting large scale change and process improvement programmes. As a process subject matter expert Chris has successfully designed and delivered a range of process improvement initiatives, tailored to suit specific business needs.

Chris has most recently worked with Hewlett Packard, Dept. of Work & Pensions, the Child Support Agency, Rolls Royce and Vodafone.
